A Message to the Purchasers of Fringe: September's Notebook Limited Edition

Insight Editions deeply regrets and apologizes for the miscommunication in the marketing language and product description for Fringe: September's Notebook Special Editions.  We neglected to identify the difference between two versions of the Special Editions we created—one with original signatures and one with replicated signatures.  We sincerely apologize to Fringe fans and our customers for any inconvenience and confusion this caused.  Please note that neither Warner Bros. nor Bad Robot, the producers of the show, or the authors, were aware of these replica signatures being created.

If you are in possession of a signature card numbered 1 to 330, the signatures are original.  If you are in possession of a signature card numbered 331 or higher, the signatures are replicas.  If you purchased a copy containing replica signatures and wish to have your money fully refunded, please contact Insight Editions as directed below.  Please keep your copy of the edition, with our sincere apologies.

This return policy applies only to those purchases made prior to August 6, 2013.   To request a refund for the full purchase price of your item, please email inquiry@insighteditions.com and include a digital copy of your signature card and receipt.  For additional questions, please contact Insight Editions at (415) 526-1382.

Regarding the "Fringe: September's Notebook" Limited Edition

Dear Fringe Fans:

Thank you for your loyalty to Fringe and for being the driving force for the collaboration between talent, studio and publisher, to create Fringe: September's Notebook trade and limited editions.

Upon public announcement, Insight Editions received an overwhelming response from fans interested in the Fringe Limited Edition who were concerned about the number of copies available. Due to this, the decision was made that additional copies would be made available based on the supply of Amber provided by the studio, which appeared to be the most exciting element of the authentic artifacts featured in the Limited Edition. Subsequently, additional signature plates were generated by a replicating machine to create a total number of 1,267 copies. In no way was it felt that the quality of the product was devalued based on all of the other unique elements that are only available in this collection.

Your satisfaction is very important to us and we would like to offer a refund to those who would like to return their Limited Edition in its entirety along with their receipt. If you purchased the Limited Edition through another vendor, such as Amazon, you should return the complete set to them per their policies.

We will continue to strive to provide our fans, and those of our Licensors, a unique experience through our publications and appreciate your understanding.

If you have any questions concerning this, please contact us via email.

The Art of Blizzard event at Gallery Nucleus

It was an unusually cold night in Los Angeles, but that didn't stop over 600 Blizzard fans from coming out on Saturday to wait in line for the opening night of the Art Exhibit and Book Launch of The Art of Blizzard at Gallery Nucleus.

Several media outlets were on site to interview Chris Metzen and Nick Carpenter before the crowd of people gathered inside the gallery to get in yet another line. This time, they waited with their massive, 376 page copy of The Art of Blizzard, as artists Wei Wang, Glenn Rane, Laurel Austin, and several others signed copies.

Art sculptures featuring characters from Blizzard were on display among the 65 pieces of framed art which include black and white sketches and full-color illustrations that can be found inside the book.

Images from Fallen games could be found upstairs, where art demos took place throughout the night, touching on unpublished games that Chris Metzen, Samwise Didier and Nick Carpenter are sharing for the first time in The Art of Blizzard.

A scavenger hunt took place and a bunch of raffle prizes were given out during the event. Guests were also treated to mana and health potions to keep them energized!

National Treasure

In 1956, a twenty-one-year-old Elvis Presley was at the beginning of his remarkable and unparalleled career and photographer Alfred Wertheimer was asked by Presley’s new label, RCA Victor, to photograph the rising star. With unimpeded access to the young performer, Wertheimer was able to capture the unguarded and everyday moments in Elvis' life during that crucial year, a year that took him from Tupelo, Mississippi to the silver screen, and to the verge of international stardom and his crowning as "The King of Rock 'n' Roll.” As Alfred Wertheimer photographed Elvis during 1956, and again in 1958, he created classic images that are spontaneous, unrehearsed and completely without artifice.

Wertheimer’s photographs of Elvis are extraordinary and he appears almost ethereal, whether reading a newspaper while waiting for a cab, or washing his hands during one of his many train trips. After 1958 and Elvis’ induction into the army, the world seemingly forgot about Wertheimer’s magical photographs- for nineteen years- until Aug 16, 1977, the day Elvis died and Time Magazine called. “The phone hasn’t really stopped ringing in the last thirty years,” observes Wertheimer.

Many of the photographs in this visual treasury are previously unpublished and some have become almost as famous as the man himself.

Elvis (One on One)
"Alfred Wertheimer's photographs of Elvis Presley are a national treasure. They are a unique visual record of the most exciting and influential performer of our time." - Chris Murray
Elvis at 21
Limited edition features: 1,500 copies, comes in a clamshell box with a signed photograph and contact sheet, clothbound portfolio case containing four limited edition photographic prints (11 x 14), and an exclusive edition of Elvis Ships Out (a 48 page, cloth bound, 8 x 10, keepsake archive of Elvis' stint in the US Army).
"These photographs of Elvis Presley are without a doubt the most important and compelling images ever taken of the greatest rock-and-roll icon of all time. No other photographer has ever come closer to catching Elvis Presley's magic than Alfred Wertheimer." - Chris Murray
