We’re very excited to announce that Diablo III: Book of Tyrael (Pub. Date: October 29) will be signed at NYCC on Saturday, October 12^th at 11:00 a.m. in our booth! Join Doug A. Gregory from art direction, illustrator Joseph Lacroix, and Blizzard lead story developer Micky Neilson.

One of the most exciting and visceral action role-playing games in recent memory, Diablo^® has become a worldwide gaming phenomenon. Diablo III: Book of Tyrael takes fans even further into the universe with a detailed and beautifully crafted artifact that focuses on the renowned champion Tyrael. As a former archangel of the High Heavens, he ranks among the most important and influential characters in the Diablo franchise. Here, in this illustrated and comprehensive tome, he reveals never-before-known secrets about the history of the world, the dark threats that yet face mankind, and his decision to join the ranks of humanity as a mortal. Featuring stunning original art throughout, this beautifully illustrated follow-up to Diablo III: Book of Cain will also feature letters from Leah and additional fragments of Cain’s writings, all curated by Tyrael as he weaves together a complex and fascinating story for the members of the Horadrim.

Diablo III: Book of Tyrael also features a fully removable illustration of the Leoric family and other influential characters from Old Tristram, including Deckard Cain, Prince Albrecht, Archbishop Lazarus, King Leoric, Prince Aidan, Queen Asylla, Leah, and Adria. This reversible image demonstrates their normal appearances on one side, along with a representation of their dark fates on the other.

New York Comic-con Recap

What a whirlwind week in New York City. We had so many great author signings and events taking place at our New York Comic-con booth. With lines forming down the aisles for each one, it was definitely a successful event for us.

Friday, October 12

Fringe fans lined up to meet Tara Bennett and Paul Terry as they signed NYCC exclusive posters for the 2013 release, Fringe: September's Notebook.

Michael Bush signed copies of his book, The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. Sitting in front of the display case featuring four of Michael Jackson's costumes along with the famous glove, there was an amazing turn out of fans who were dressed up in their favorite Michael Jackson inspired costumes.

Saturday, October 13

Scott Campbell stopped by our booth to sign copies of Amazing Everything and sold prints of some of his illustrations. It was great to see people recognizing him as he has become quite the name (and face) among the video game / art world thanks to his work with Double Fine Productions.

Michael Jackson fans were shocked to see the famous glove on display in our booth when Michael Bush arrived to sign copies of The King of Style for those attending NYCC. Known for attendees in costumes, this was a fun mix of pop culture and fashion for all to enjoy.

Sunday, October 14

Brandon T. Snider hopped off the airplane in time to join us on our last day at New York Comic-con, signing copies of The Dark Knight Manual and entertaining the crowd.

John & Yoko

John Lennon married Yoko Ono on March 20th, 1969. 

In November 1980, on the eve of John Lennon's untimely death, photographer Allan Tannenbaum had unique and total access to John and Yoko, who were emerging from five years of seclusion and avoiding the media. As one of the few photographers with whom John and Yoko were close, Tannenbaum was privileged to be able to capture many intimate moments between the two. John cherished these images of Yoko and was moved by their beauty and grace. The result is this moving book of photography about John and Yoko together, in the last weeks of his life.

Yoko Ono shares many of these photographs on her Facebook page and she's getting ready to release a collection of John's artwork published by Insight Editions this fall in John Lennon, The Collected Artwork.

Real Love: Drawings for Sean was released in 2011.
