Dear Friends,
Over the years,
our
goal here at Insight has been to produce cutting-edge books on photography,
music, and pop culture that bring art to life by offering readers a greater
depth of experience. Our state-of-the-art books take you behind the scenes and
up close and personal with stunning visuals, removable ephemera, and
unparalleled innovative production techniques. We’re looking forward to another
exciting year of growth and to continuing to work with our world-renowned
partners.
First
and foremost, we’re pleased to announce new products in our Insights
Deluxe Journals line. Beautifully crafted, each of our
licensed journals is designed to showcase iconic images from our collaborators;
for example, artwork from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s
Creed, HBO’s Game of Thrones, and
Blizzard Entertainment’s World of
Warcraft and Diablo. Additional
journals capture the beauty of the natural world with photographs by Art Wolfe
and of meticulously crafted Indian artwork from our Mandala–Earth Editions imprint.
We’re
looking forward to the publication of Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros—a visually
spectacular, one-of-a-kind pop-up inspired by the Emmy® Award–winning title sequence that
opens each episode of the hit HBO® series—which
caused a stir when it was previewed at San Diego Comic-Con last year.
We’re also pleased to
announce the second installment of our Vault of Simpsonology series, Bart Simpson’s Manual of Mischief. Last year’s Homer
Simpson’s Little Book of Laziness sold over 200,000 copies worldwide. And gamer enthusiasts
will be thrilled this season with both Gears of War™ Judgment: Kilo Squad: The Survivor’s
Log and Assassin’s Creed® IV Black
Flag: Blackbeard: The Lost Journal.
Godzilla: The
Art of Destruction will come out this May to coincide with the release of
the much-anticipated Godzilla film by Monsters director
Gareth Edwards and will follow in the footsteps of our massively successful Pacific Rim: Man, Machines & Monsters
by David S. Cohen. Another new film companion book is The Art of Mr. Peabody & Sherman, out in February, which highlights the
concept art and inspiration of DreamWorks Animation’s film based on the classic
1960s cartoon. In anticipation of the Michael Bay-produced movie premiering in
August, we’re also coming out with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Visual
History, a comprehensive look at the previously untold story of
the multimillion-dollar franchise.
Adding
to our Insights Kids collection, which launched last year, we have two Angry
Birds storybooks from Rovio Entertainment: Stella and the Hunt for the Jade Egg and Piggy Island Heroes: It’s Raining Pigs!. Also on the horizon, we have two more
installments from our gorgeously illustrated “How to Banish Fears” series: How to Defeat Dragons and How to Knock Out Nightmares.
We
invite you to explore our Spring 2014
catalog, which reflects our continued commitment to providing readers with
beautifully crafted, interactive, and visually stimulating products.
Thank
you so much for your continued support.
